What is Age Discrimination?

Age discrimination is a type of discrimination that occurs when employers exercise bias toward an employee due to his/her age.  When an employer has bias toward an employee’s age and it adversely impacts his/her decisions related to hiring, termination, compensation or demotion, the employer is participating in age discrimination.  Age discrimination is a very complex topic that falls under the legal area of employment discrimination and employment law.
